FAQ
Your frequently asked questions (FAQ) about the platform!
How do I complete or close a project?
You can read How to complete a project in Working on a project
Complete a project
When the designs are ready and the project is complete, there are multiple ways to close the project.
- Hit the little checkmark button next to the yellow Done with review button;
- Click Done with review and in the confirmation popup, select Mark project as complete;
- See that big Review designs and leave pins button on the project overview? Next to it is the three-dot ... button and if you click that, you can select Close the project.
- You can talk to your PM and they can complete the project for you.
No matter which way you choose to close your project, you will have to confirm if you really want to complete the project.
Did you complete a project and want to re-open it? You can do that! The green banner at the top of the screen is available on any completed project to re-open it.
What do I do if the platform is running slow?
Try two things! First, refresh your browser! This will help reload any recent information that hasn't updated. Two, clear your browser's cache. The easiest way to do this is a hard refresh. A hard refresh is a way of clearing the browser's cache for a specific page, to force it to load the most recent version of a page. Sometimes, when changes are made to the website, they don't register immediately due to caching.
Different web browsers have different commands for a hard refresh:
-
Chrome
- (Windows, Linux) Hold down Ctrl and click the Reload button.
Or, Hold down Ctrl and press F5. - (Mac OS) Hold down ⌘ Cmd and ⇧ Shift key and then press R.

How do credits work?
TLDR; 1 credit = average rate for 1 hour of work
Credits are the basis of SketchDeck's pricing, budgeting, and billing system. SketchDeck sets the value of 1 credit to be equal to the average price of 1 hour of work, our 'blended hourly rate'. This means our pricing and our metrics have an easy and intuitive connection to the volume of hours worked. You can always choose to view both real dollar value and credit denominated value on any screen. You may also choose to disable the credit denominated value if you only want the platform to show in dollars.
We are having issues with Figma previews
If it's a Figma mockup, you don't need to export to PDF to do previews - linking directly to a publicly available Figma file works. If you can't make it public then export is your only option - the Figma must be shared publicly to work in a preview!
Preview images are coming through distorted/faded
PDFs can have varying degrees of quality when rendered by our 3rd party service for many different reasons. Multiple opacity layers not compressed correctly or mismanaged in the PDF is a hallmark item for rendering poorly. Unfortunately, there's not much we can do except offer ideas for how to get the preview into a usable state. One such idea is to modify the PDF in an Adobe approved tool to simplify layers and transparencies. Flattening the artwork in Acrobat is one way to do this that has worked for others.
